Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Diego!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clay Moore!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Moore finds it's target.
Moore darts in looking for a takedown but Diego gets double underhooks and turns Moore into the cage.
Moore cracks a nice hook into Diego's ribs.
Moore fails with the takedown.
Moore tries for a takedown but Diego circles away easily
and Diego counters with a nice uppercut.
Carlos Diego has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Moore.
Moore misses with a right hand
and Diego counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Moore throws a body punch but Diego moves out of range.
Diego jabs Moore right on the nose. Moore blinks but takes it well.

and Diego counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Moore has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Clay Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horrible takedown attempt by Moore or perhaps it was just good defense by Diego, which made it look bad.
Moore lands a nice shot that snaps Diego's head back.
Moore shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Diego counters with a nice uppercut.

Moore tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Diego defends well and Moore ends up having to push Diego into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Diego looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Moore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diego's waist but Diego gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moore off to one side.

Moore closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diego's guard.

Diego takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Diego moves away from the strike by Moore.
Moore throws a big shot that misses.
Moore shoots in for a double leg but Diego sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
An attempted straight right counter from Diego misses the target.
Moore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diego's waist but Diego gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moore off to one side.
Moore uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diego.
The fighters circling - Diego throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Moore connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diego momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice uppercut lands for Moore. That snapped Diego's head back.

Diego lands a big head kick that sends Moore tumbling to the mat! Diego takes a step backwards and waves Moore back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Diego has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Moore finds it's way round the side to connect with Diego's head.
Diego is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
No luck for Moore with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looked like Diego was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Moore lands with a hook. Diego tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Moore dives in and grabs Diego's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diego pushes down on Moore's head and hops out.
Diego swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Diego swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Diego throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moore fails to land the takedown.

Diego is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Moore.
