Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Reymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rex Reymond was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rex Reymond! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Reymond or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans, which made it look bad. Reymond is looking to clinch but Evans is avoiding it.
Evans closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reymond's guard. Reymond is looking to stand up but Evans isn't so interested in that idea. Evans is stalling in the full guard. Reymond working a defensive guard here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reymond can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evans makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Evans scoring with some ground and pound. Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Reymond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans stops Reymond from standing up. Evans stands up over Reymond, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Evans prevents Reymond from getting back to his feet. Evans postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evans scoring with some ground and pound. Reymond has momentary wrist control but Evans slips an elbow through the middle. Evans working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Evans working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Evans with a flurry of punches that miss. Evans not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Evans seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reymond for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans wants to control from the top but Reymond keeps moving. Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reymond works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Evans has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Evans wants to control from the top but Reymond keeps moving. Evans scoring with some ground and pound. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Reymond avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Evans throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Evans chips away with some ground and pound. Reymond is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Evans is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reymond preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Reymond really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reymond not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Reymond shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Evans is trying to defend but Reymond finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Reymond throws a strike but Evans avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Evans has his hands on Reymond's head, controlling the position. Reymond wants to control from the top but Evans keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Reymond is defending well. Evans quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Reymond has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Evans celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
