Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucius The Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexandre Moraes! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moraes is trying hard to land a takedown here. The Lion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. The Lion fails with a takedown attempt. And Moraes tries to counter it with a takedown but The Lion pushes his down on his head and steps out. The Lion looks for a takedown but Moraes sprawls well. The Lion moves into the clinch. The Lion tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Moraes prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucius The Lion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moraes drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Lion pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Lion closes the distance looking to clinch and Moraes counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Moraes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Moraes is trying to control. The Lion wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Lion regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Moraes. Moraes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Moraes gets to his feet. The Lion looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Moraes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Moraes tries to free his leg and advance position but The Lion is retaining full guard. The Lion wants to stand and escape but Moraes is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's two minutes gone in the round. Moraes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Moraes has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Moraes fails in his attempt to clinch. The Lion tries to clinch so Moraes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Moraes looking to pass the guard. Moraes trying to control but The Lion is working from the bottom. Moraes lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moraes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Lion swivels though and keeps the full guard. Moraes trying to control but The Lion is working from the bottom. Moraes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Moraes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. The Lion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moraes advances to half guard. Moraes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moraes seems to be looking for submissions.
Moraes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The Lion kicks off Moraes and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexandre Moraes dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The Lion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moraes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Lion somewhat. Moraes is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - The Lion is in big trouble! Moraes is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking The Lion. Poor guy.
