The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horse gets caught napping as Feline dives in and scores a takedown. Horse manages to retain guard.
Feline scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Horse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Horse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Feline can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Horse is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Feline won't allow Horse to sweep him here.
Feline postures up in Horse's guard and throws a big left but Horse blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Feline knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horse on the ground.

Feline has gone for a leg lock! Horse slips out almost immediately though and dives into Feline's guard.

Feline is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Horse is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've been hearing good reports from Feline's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horse is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Feline sees it coming and defends easily.

Feline wants to get back to his feet.
Feline is concentrating on defense, preventing Horse from advancing position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Feline wants to improve his position but Horse is controlling well.

Horse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Feline swivels and escapes.
Feline finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Feline shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Feline was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Horse gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Horse has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Feline is working away from the top position though.

Horse is pressing down on Feline's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Horse has his foot on Feline's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Feline works his way back into a safe position though.

Horse is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Feline rolls with it to try and escape but Horse cranks on the arm and Feline is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
