Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roscoe Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Olssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roscoe Jenkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyson Olssen! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olssen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jenkins to score an easy takedown into full guard. Olssen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Olssen keeping full guard, as Jenkins tries to pass. Olssen keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. We've been hearing that Jenkins has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Jenkins stops Olssen from standing up. Olssen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Olssen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Olssen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jenkins controls the pace. Olssen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olssen has gone for a leg lock! Jenkins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Olssen's guard. Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olssen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jenkins postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jenkins won't allow Olssen to sweep him here. Olssen looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Olssen pushes Jenkins off and gets back to his feet.
Jenkins drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Olssen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jenkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Olssen striking off his back but it's not causing Jenkins any problems. Olssen has his foot on Jenkins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jenkins works his way back into a safe position though. Olssen keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. Jenkins prevents Olssen from getting back to his feet. Jenkins is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Olssen wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jenkins is now in half guard. Jenkins wants to stand but Olssen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Olssen missing with punches from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jenkins lands strikes from half guard. Jenkins is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jenkins slaps away a takedown attempt from Olssen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jenkins went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Olssen gets caught flat footed, as Jenkins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Olssen keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roscoe Jenkins dominated that round. That's time! Jenkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Olssen tries to keep at a distance but Jenkins has taken the fight into the clinch. Olssen wants to take the fight to the mat but Jenkins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Olssen fails to pull guard.
Jenkins gets control of Olssen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jenkins will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jenkins keeping moving, preventing Olssen from controlling successfully. Jenkins has control of Olssen's left arm, preventing Olssen from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins is trying to control the position but Olssen postures up. Roscoe Jenkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Olssen presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. A quick uppercut on the inside from Jenkins. Jenkins tries for a takedown. No joy.
Olssen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jenkins to keep the fight standing. Roscoe Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Olssen. Olssen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jenkins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jenkins tries to score a body lock takedown but Olssen shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Olssen trying to land knees to the body.
Jenkins has Olssen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jenkins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Olssen tumbling to the mat - Jenkins dives into Olssen's guard. Olssen wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olssen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jenkins defends it easily. Olssen keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. Jenkins pushing down on Olssen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Olssen is looking for a sweep. Jenkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Olssen's head. Olssen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jenkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jenkins's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jenkins wants to control his opponent's hands but Olssen gets his hands free. Jenkins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Olssen can do to turn this around? Jenkins tries to escape but Olssen has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Jenkins trying to control the hands but Olssen breaks the grip. Olssen tries to get the hooks in deep but Jenkins pushed the leg off. Olssen controlling well, preventing Jenkins from escaping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Olssen looking for the RNC. Olssen working for the choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins prevents Olssen from getting a body triangle. Jenkins tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Jenkins is looking to improve his position but Olssen isn't that keen on the idea. Jenkins tries to hold on but Olssen pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jenkins is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jenkins manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roscoe Jenkins dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Olssen fails with a takedown attempt. Olssen fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jenkins misses with a kick to the body.
Olssen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. As Olssen backs away, Jenkins returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Roscoe Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Olssen. Jenkins goes for a double leg but Olssen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Olssen continues to drive forward. Olssen throws out a counter right but Jenkins avoids it with no problem. Jenkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Olssen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jenkins is in Olssen's guard. Olssen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Olssen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins with a nice head shot there. Jenkins postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olssen is wriggling around but Jenkins manages to pass to half guard.
Jenkins wants to pass to mount but Olssen is defending the position. Jenkins escapes and gets back to his feet. Olssen dives in and grabs Jenkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jenkins pushes down on Olssen's head and hops out. Jenkins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee asks Jenkins politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jenkins prefers to stall for the moment though. Jenkins landing a few strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Olssen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jenkins cracks Olssen with a big elbow. Jenkins is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Olssen's shoulder. That is not cool. Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Olssen keeps working. Jenkins decides to stand back up. Jenkins avoids a kick to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Olssen tries to clinch up. Olssen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Olssen fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jenkins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jenkins content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Jenkins is working to tighten his grip on Olssen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Olssen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jenkins is really squeezing tight and eventually Olssen passes out! Jenkins breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
