Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chibi Tsushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Chibi Tsushima! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsushima throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Takeshi shoots in and gets a takedown into Tsushima's guard. Tsushima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takeshi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takeshi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tsushima looking for subs off his back but Takeshi has passed one foot through into half guard.
Takeshi is looking for a kimura here.
Tsushima tries to get to full guard but Takeshi has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takeshi is taking a breather. Tsushima says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Takeshi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeshi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tsushima gets full guard. Takeshi is looking to work some ground and pound but Tsushima has wrist control. Takeshi throws a big right hand that misses. Tsushima pulls Takeshi in close to his closed guard and prevents Takeshi from doing any damage or advancing position. Tsushima is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tsushima looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Takeshi puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Tsushima tries to roll over but Takeshi keeps him under control. Takeshi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tsushima keeps working. Tsushima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Takeshi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tsushima is trying to control but Takeshi passes into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Takeshi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tsushima keeps working. Tsushima is trying to control Takeshi's posture but Takeshi avoids it. Tsushima tries to buck Takeshi off but Takeshi is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Tsushima's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Takeshi tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Tsushima avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Takeshi. Tsushima is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tsushima tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Takeshi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tsushima knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tsushima tries to buck Takeshi off but Takeshi is having none of it. Tsushima gets back to half guard. Tsushima tries to get to full guard but Takeshi has control of the leg. Takeshi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tsushima! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tsushima is squirming around, avoiding Takeshi's attempts to control the action. Tsushima really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ichi Takeshi dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Takeshi dives in for a single leg takedown but Tsushima sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. Takeshi shoots in and gets a takedown into Tsushima's guard. Tsushima had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Takeshi defends it easily. Tsushima is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Takeshi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tsushima is keeping the position for now. Tsushima keeping moving, preventing Takeshi from controlling successfully. Tsushima is trying to hold Takeshi in close to prevent damage but Takeshi has managed to pass into half guard.

Takeshi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tsushima defending well though. Tsushima has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Tsushima wants to improve his position but Takeshi is controlling well.

Tsushima gets full guard. Takeshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tsushima swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ichi Takeshi has got the better of the ground game so far. Tsushima looking for a sweep. Not yet Tsushima, not yet. Takeshi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tsushima is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Takeshi, into his guard. Tsushima wants to control from the top but Takeshi keeps moving. Takeshi working for submissions but it's allowed Tsushima to get to half guard.
Tsushima is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsushima wants to pass to mount but Takeshi is defending the position. Tsushima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Takeshi is controlling Tsushima's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsushima trying to control the action but Takeshi is working from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tsushima connects with a nice short shot to Takeshi's temple. Tsushima controlling the action here. Tsushima works his foot free and advances to mount. Tsushima avoids the attempt from Takeshi to control. Tsushima goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Takeshi turns into him and now he's in Tsushima's guard.
Takeshi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Takeshi scoring with some ground and pound. Takeshi won't allow Tsushima to sweep him here. Tsushima is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Takeshi connects with a couple of short punches. Tsushima is trying to push Takeshi off with his feet but Takeshi grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Tsushima's ankles and Tsushima is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Ankle Lock). Ichi Takeshi! Ichi Takeshi is the new bantamweight champion! Ichi Takeshi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
