The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Reyes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reyes tries to clinch there but Mcgregor circles away.
Reyes tries a head kick but it misses.
Mcgregor tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Reyes manages to circle out of the way.

Reyes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mcgregor. Mcgregor obviously looking to wear him down.

Reyes tries to keep at a distance but Mcgregor has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mcgregor has picked Reyes up - he's going for a ride! Mcgregor dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcgregor avoids the head kick by Reyes.

Mcgregor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Reyes felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Mcgregor seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
