Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Escargesa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and HeavyWeight Prizefighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prizefighter has chosen Under and Over it by ffdp as his entrance music. HeavyWeight Prizefighter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Escargesa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, HeavyWeight Prizefighter!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escargesa misses with a looping left.
Prizefighter with the counter takedown but Escargesa avoids it easily.
Vincent Escargesa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escargesa throws a jab when Prizefighter was well out of range.
Escargesa throws a lazy uppercut
and Prizefighter counters with a good low kick that Escargesa was not able to check.
Prizefighter dodges the punch combination from Escargesa.

A slow jab from Escargesa misses its intended target.
Prizefighter throws a lazy body kick
and Escargesa counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Prizefighter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Escargesa is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Prizefighter's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Escargesa throws a series of punches but Prizefighter avoids them all with ease.

Prizefighter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Escargesa is looking to break free of the clinch but Prizefighter has double underhooks.

Prizefighter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Escargesa is defending well for now.
Prizefighter keeps control of Escargesa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Escargesa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vincent Escargesa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A left lands for Escargesa.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Prizefighter manages to break the clinch.
Escargesa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Prizefighter misses with a low kick.
Escargesa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Escargesa cracks Prizefighter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Prizefighter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Prizefighter doesn't manage to clinch there - Escargesa circles away.
As Prizefighter looks to move away, Escargesa throws a big counter combo bu Prizefighter just gets out of the way.
Escargesa blocks a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Escargesa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Prizefighters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Escargesa lands a nice shot to the body.

Prizefighter tries to work over Escargesa's front leg with a kick but Escargesa checks it.
Prizefighter misses with a low kick as Escargesa jumps back.
Escargesa looks to land a right hand but Prizefighter moved out of range.
Prizefighter wants to counter the offense by Escargesa and move into the clinch position.
Prizefighter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Escargesa throws out the jab.

Prizefighter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
No joy there for Escargesa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Prizefighter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Escargesa. That did some damage!
Escargesa looks to land a right hand but Prizefighter moved out of range.
Prizefighter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Escargesa.
Prizefighter thows a body kick. Escargesa tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Prizefighter connects with a single shot there.
Prizefighter lands a right hook to the body.

Prizefighter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Prizefighter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Escargesa wants to sweep but no luck.
Prizefighter forces his way into half guard.
Prizefighter is looking to advance position but Escargesa won't allow it.
Prizefighter prevents Escargesa from improving his position.
Escargesa is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Netherlands Top Team that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Prizefighter wants to pass the guard but Escargesa is defending well.
Escargesa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Prizefighter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Prizefighter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Escargesa defends it well.
Escargesa tries to roll over but Prizefighter keeps him under control.
Prizefighter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That was a close round but I would say that Vincent Escargesa will probably get the nod.

Escargesa lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Prizefighter or not.

Prizefighter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Escargesa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Escargesa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Prizefighter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Escargesa is tightening it up a little... Prizefighter has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Prizefighter reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Prizefighter taps out! Nice BJJ there by Escargesa!
