Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Karwoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Mironov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mironov has chosen Down by Law - by Madball as his entrance music. Kirk Karwoski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kirk Karwoski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergei Mironov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karwoski thuds his right hand into Mironov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Sergei Mironov has been cut.
Karwoski throws a right and a left that both miss.

Mironov is rocked!
Karwoski loads up on a big right hand but Mironov slips the punch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mironov seems to have recovered his senses.

Mironov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karwoski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mironov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Karwoski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Mironov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mironov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Karwoski. That one must have hurt.
Karwoski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mironov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mironov throws a push kick but Karwoski slaps the foot to one side.

Oooooh!!! Karwoski has knocked Mironov down with a huge combo! Karwoski steps away and waves a wobbly Mironov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Sergei Mironov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Karwoski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kirk Karwoski is winning the standup battle so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mironov's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Mironov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mironov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Karwoski can pounce on him.
Karwoski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Kirk Karwoski showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Karwoski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
