Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Uvol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinan Yak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yak comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Silahsiz Kuvvet - Sözlerim Silahim kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Uvol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sinan Yak! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uvol shoots in but no luck this time. Yak connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Uvol shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Uvol showed some decent athleticism there. Yak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Yak trying to control here.
Uvol thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yak's head. Yak is looking for a sweep. Uvol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Uvol wants to control but Yak is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uvol not landing any meaningful shots this time. Yak kicks off Uvol and gets to his feet. Uvol throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Uvol is in Yak's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yak is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Uvol wants to control from the top but Yak keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yak working for a triangle but Uvol defends it easily.
Uvol postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Yak trying to control the position.
Uvol stands up over Yak, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Uvol forces his way into half guard. Yak is concentrating on defense, preventing Uvol from advancing position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Yak is trying to stand up here but Uvol is controlling him well. Uvol working over Yak with some ground and pound. Yak looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Yak is looking for a sweep. Uvol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Yak actively working from the bottom here. Yak makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Uvol rushes Yak and presses him up against the cage. Uvol gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Yak regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uvol looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Yak wants to stand and escape but Uvol is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uvol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Uvol content to stall in guard here. Uvol missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Uvol drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Yak dives on top into guard. Yak sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Uvol's guard. Yak stands up and beckons Uvol to join him on the feet. Uvol fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yak to the ground. Uvol is now in Yak's guard. Yak is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yak has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Uvol doesn't defend quickly enough and Yak has managed to lock this one up! Can Uvol escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Yak on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sinan Yak! An out of breath Sinan Yak thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Paul Uvol spoke after the fight, saying 'All I can do at this point is go back to the gym & fix the holes in my game & come back stronger next time. Im here to entertain'.
