Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Taft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Palmar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Forrest Taft! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Remy Palmar! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taft will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A telegraphed right hand from Taft misses the target. Palmar slips under a jab from Taft. Palmar punishes Taft's body with a nice straight punch. Both fighters circling a little - Palmar finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Taft swings for the body but Palmar moves out of range.
Palmar is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmar lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Remy Palmar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taft scores with a decent looking hook. Nice shot lands for Palmar. Good leg kick by Palmar there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taft throws a head kick but Palmar moves out of range.
Remy Palmar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Taft swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Palmar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A shot to the liver by Palmar. Beautiful body shot. Palmar lands with a nice combination. Taft backs away looking to recover. Palmar wants to clinch. A big right from Taft misses. The fighters circling - Taft throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Palmar looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palmar's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Palmar duly obliges. Palmar lands with a nice body kick. Taft thows a left - swing and a miss! Palmar was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Palmar is looking to land body kicks. Palmar pushes Taft away with a front kick. Taft doesn't succeed with the takedown and Palmar counters with a nice body kick.

That kick from Palmar tenderised Taft's leg. Taft is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taft walks into a straight right hand from Palmar. Taft throws out a leg kick but Palmar moves out of range and Taft only half commits. Palmar is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Taft with a body shot. A combination from Palmar does no damage. Palmar throws a body kick, spinning off balance enabling Taft to counter with a crisp jab. Taft on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Palmar slips a jab from Taft. Palmar throws a front kick that sends Taft stumbling back into the cage. A solid leg kick lands there for Palmar.
Palmar checks a leg kick. Palmar looks like he wants to counter punch here. Taft throws a leg kick and Palmar counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palmar looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Palmar lands with a cross. Taft throws an overhand right that lands on Palmar's shoulder, as Palmar tries to avoid the shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Taft lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Palmar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Palmar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Taft throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Palmar throws a push kick but Taft slaps the foot to one side. It looked like Taft was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Palmar. Jab, jab by Palmar - just one landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Remy Palmar dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Taft fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Palmar manages to avoid it. Palmar moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Palmar doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nice body kick there by Palmar. Taft throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Palmar blocks a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmar catches Taft with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Palmar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Taft was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Taft closes this distance looking for a takedown but Palmar circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taft takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Taft stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Palmar. Taft digs a good body shot into Palmar's ribs. Taft will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Taft wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd cheers as Palmar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Taft doesn't seem phased though. Palmar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Taft on the side of the head. A slapping leg kick lands for Palmar.
Both fighters circling a little - Palmar finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Palmar misses with a few strikes there.
Taft feinted there with a counter leg kick. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Taft might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Palmar. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Taft misses with a looping left. Palmar throws a body kick that misses. Taft will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Palmar throws a good cross that connects.
Palmar throws a hook but Taft blocks it. Palmar avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Taft throws a jab when Palmar was well out of range. Palmar digs a good body shot into Taft's ribs.

Palmar fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Palmar tries to bum rush Taft with a series of wild strikes but Taft uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Palmar throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Taft looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Palmar is fending him off so far but Taft persists. Nope, Palmar circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forrest Taft. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taft thuds a left hand into Palmar's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Taft 's head but he takes it in his stride. Palmar punishes Taft's body with a nice straight punch. Palmar fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. No luck for Taft with that takedown attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Palmar thumps Taft with a low kick. Palmar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Palmar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Taft. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Remy Palmar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Palmar throws a right and a left that both miss. Taft throws a quick counter head kick but Palmar was just out of range. Taft connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Taft misses with a low kick as Palmar jumps back. Palmar connects with a single shot there. Taft misses with a low kick.
Taft walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Taft throws a front kick aimed at Palmar's knee but Palmar avoids it well. Remy Palmar seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taft misses with an uppercut
and Palmar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Taft thinking. Palmar scoring well with a low kick there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Taft darts in looking for a takedown but Palmar gets double underhooks and turns Taft into the cage. Palmar works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Palmar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Taft manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Taft walks into a straight right hand from Palmar. Palmar lands a leg kick that knocks Taft off balance momentarily. Taft has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Palmar. Taft is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Taft takes a shot right to the bread basket. Taft blocks the body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taft throws a lazy head kick and Palmar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Taft throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Palmar has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Taft walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Palmar connects with a leg kick. Taft looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Taft scores with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action! Palmar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Palmar staying out of range there. Palmar throws out a counter right but Taft avoids it with no problem. Taft misses with a straight left. Palmar fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Taft has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Palmar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Taft is looking to chop away at Palmar's legs. Taft lands with an overhand left. Remy Palmar is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Taft looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Palmar throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Taft's head. Palmar avoids the head kick by Taft.
Palmar throws out a counter right but Taft avoids it with no problem. Palmar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Nice body punch from Palmar. A chopping leg kick lands by Palmar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palmar misses with a body kick. Palmar throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Taft walks forward, straight into a front kick from Palmar. Palmar works Taft's body with a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice body punch from Palmar. Palmar looks to land a combination. Taft sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Palmar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Taft does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Forrest Taft has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Taft throws an off balance right hand
and Palmar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that's the end of the fight! Remy Palmar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Palmar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
