Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Humphreys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to land body kicks.
Humphreys is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Humphreys circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Humphreys takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.
Humphreys gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Smith tries to stand but can't do so whilst Humphreys controls his leg.
Smith is thwarting Humphreys's attempts to control the position.
Humphreys blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smith.
Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Humphreys knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Smith seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Smith is tying to control. Humphreys wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Humphreys is controlling Smith's trapped leg to prevent Smith from advancing to side control.

Humphreys is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith wants to stand up but Humphreys manages to regain full guard.
Humphreys wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.
Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Humphreys gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Humphreys stands up from Smith's guard - Humphreys perhaps looking for a knockout.
Humphreys throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tony Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith moves out of range as Humphreys throws a body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Humphreys. No joy for Smith on that attempt.
Humphreys decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Humphreys has control of the leg.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Humphreys scores with a couple of nice shots.
Humphreys gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Humphreys circles away.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.

and Smith counters with a left and a right that stings Humphreys.
Humphreys shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Humphreys lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Humphreys forces his way into half guard.
Humphreys takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Humphreys postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Smith to stand up.
Smith tries for a takedown but Humphreys circles away easily
and Humphreys counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Humphreys moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Smith tries to buck Humphreys off but Humphreys is having none of it.
Smith struggling a bit here.

Smith tries to improve position but can't.
Humphreys trying to control the action but Smith is working from the bottom.
Smith is looking for a sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smith fails with the takedown
and Humphreys counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smith manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Humphreys manages to get himself to full guard.
Humphreys working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien Humphreys dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Humphreys sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Humphreys shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
so Smith counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Humphreys keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.

Smithis looking to pass into half guard but Humphreys pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Humphreys is in guard.
Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Humphreys is one step ahead there.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Humphreys on the ground.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Smith uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Humphreys doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Humphreys looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.
Humphreys is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Smith avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Humphreys has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Smith should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Humphreys has tightened it up now! Smith should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
