Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sherwood Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abe De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Vries comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sigur Ros - Svefn-g-englar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for De Vries.

De Vries clinches up against the cage.
De Vries lands a shot to the body.
De Vries lands with a light punch inside.

Cameron breaks the clinch.
Cameron digs a good hook to De Vries's body.
Cameron moves to clinch but De Vries breaks away

and De Vries counters with a head kick that drops Cameron to the mat! Cameron scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
De Vries throws a head kick that misses.

De Vries closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cameron sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Cameron is looking for a sweep. De Vries is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cameron is trying to maintain the position but De Vries is very close to passing his half guard.
Still in half guard, De Vries seems content to control.
Cameron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cameron is holding on to half guard well.
Cameron tries to kick De Vries off but De Vries keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cameron is not content to let De Vries control the position.
De Vries is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
De Vries lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A head kick from De Vries lands but Cameron takes it in his stride.

It looks like Sherwood Cameron has been cut.

De Vries thows a body kick. Cameron tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Cameron is breathing heavily.

De Vries throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cameron was covering up waiting for the punch and De Vries finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cameron is rocked!
De Vries postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Oh Cameron is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
De Vries slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cameron really is a fat lump.
De Vries throwing strikes from guard but Cameron blocks nicely.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as De Vries accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
De Vries is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cameron seems to have got his legs back now.
Cameron keeping moving, preventing De Vries from controlling successfully.
De Vries engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Cameron pushes De Vries off and gets back to his feet.

De Vries catches Cameron with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Cameron forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

A less than humble Abe De Vries misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
