Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Desert Storm ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenneth Keats! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keats throws a right and a left that Storm avoids nicely. Storm swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Keats throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Storm . Keats drives through with a takedown into Storm 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Storm is looking for a triangle but Keats pushes his legs off easily.
Storm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Keats doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Keats manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Storm can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Keats controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keats throwing strikes from guard but Storm blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Keats is looking to work some ground and pound but Storm has wrist control.

Storm is really struggling to control Keats but he's trying to hold on to the position. Keats has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Keats throwing strikes from guard but Storm blocks nicely. Keats throwing strikes from guard but Storm blocks nicely.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Keats throws a combination that misses and Storm finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Keats scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Keats thows a huge punch but Storm dodges it nicely.
Keats slips a nice elbow through Storm 's hands, connecting with Storm 's forehead. Keats is nestled in close to Storm , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keats looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Keats moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Storm . Keats is working Storm over with some ground and pound from side control. Storm taking punishment in the form of punches.
Keats scoring with punches from side control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Keats is looking to take a break and control but Storm is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Keats is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Keats throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Storm is refusing to be controlled, as Keats sits in half guard. Storm wants to control but Keats is keeping busy and won't allow it. Storm has hold of Keats's hands but Keats slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Keats working over Storm with some ground and pound. Storm looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Storm blocking the ground and pound attempt from Keats. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Keats is trying to control the action in half guard but Storm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Storm trying to control here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Keats lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Keats is keen to just control but Storm is a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Keats shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense. No joy there for Keats, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Keats shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Storm as he avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Keats throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Storm was covering up waiting for the punch and Keats finishes the takedown easily into guard. Keats working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenneth Keats dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Keats looks to land a combination. Storm sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Storm leaves Keats with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've been told by Storm 's head coaches at Team Alpha Male that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Keats moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A lazy left from Storm finds it's target. Storm displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Keats. Storm lands a really nice looking cross but Keats seems unphased.
Keats misses with an uppercut
and Storm counters with a nice uppercut. Keats is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Kenneth Keats has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Storm connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Keats is rocked! Keats throws a series of punches but Storm moves out of range. Keats is still on wobbly legs! Can Storm finish him? Storm throws a pinpoint strike between Keats's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Keats crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Storm scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Desert Storm !
