Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dizzy McNahthins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Rawlings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dizzy McNahthins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave Rawlings! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rawlings moves into range and clinches up with McNahthins. Rawlings with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Dizzy McNahthins has been cut. Rawlings's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Rawlings is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Rawlings breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McNahthins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rawlings quickly recovers to half guard. Rawlings is pressing down on McNahthins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. McNahthins is looking to stand up but Rawlings won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rawlings wants to stand and escape but McNahthins is having none of it. Rawlings looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rawlings is on top in guard.
Rawlings is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rawlings has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Hut - $50. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Rawlings's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rawlings is pushing down on McNahthins's leg trying to pass to half guard. McNahthins is fighting to maintain full guard but Rawlings has managed to sneak the leg through. Rawlings is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! McNahthins avoids a series of strikes thrown by Rawlings.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McNahthins on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McNahthins tries to get out of the position. Rawlings lands a heavy elbow. Rawlings controlling his opponent. Rawlings putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! McNahthins tries to lock up and control but Rawlings gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rawlings is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McNahthins has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rawlings takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. McNahthins holds on, trying desperately to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rawlings sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Rawlings lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McNahthins hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rawlings scores with a nice head shot. McNahthins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rawlings. It looked like McNahthins was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Rawlings closes the distance and clinches. McNahthins jumps into guard, dragging Rawlings to the mat.
Rawlings content to stall in guard here. Rawlings sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McNahthins's guard. Rawlings is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. McNahthins is trying to control but Rawlings passes into side control!
McNahthins looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rawlings working the head with strikes.

Let's hope that Rawlings has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rawlings working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Rawlings scoring with punches from side control. McNahthins trying to remain calm as Rawlings controls from the top position. Rawlings has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rawlings passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McNahthins! McNahthins is looking to get to half guard. Rawlings unloads with some shots from mount but McNahthins bucks and avoids them well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rawlings looking to ground and pound but McNahthins is blocking nicely. Rawlings takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rawlings misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rawlings tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rawlings lands a big shot there that rocks McNahthins but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McNahthins is looking to improve his position but Rawlings isn't that keen on the idea. Rawlings with a couple of short strikes. Rawlings controlling the position easily from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rawlings working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Rawlings showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dizzy McNahthins's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Rawlings fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McNahthins, pushing him back against the cage. McNahthins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. McNahthins jumps into guard, dragging Rawlings to the mat.
Rawlings throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McNahthins works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rawlings slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. An elbow from Rawlings crashes against the mat.
McNahthins is trying to control Rawlings's posture but Rawlings avoids it. Rawlings remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNahthins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rawlings on the ground.

McNahthins is in a horrible position here. Rawlings smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
McNahthins is rocked! Dave Rawlings has got the better of the ground game so far. McNahthins tries to hold on but Rawlings pushes him away. Oh McNahthins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Rawlings looking to control and managing it successfully. Rawlings with good strikes from the mount here! Rawlings has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rawlings unloads with some vicious shots from mount and McNahthins wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Rawlings celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
