Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Brandon Rack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rack closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Rack manages to pull guard.
Rack managing to control the position.

Jackson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rack looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rack looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rack!

Jackson is being controlled here.
Rack seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.

It looks like Jack Jackson has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Rack is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee asks Rack politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rack prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rack. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson is not content to let Rack control the position.

Rack scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jackson to see if he's OK.
Rack lands an elbow.

Rack tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Rack is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jackson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rack is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rack connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jackson some visible discomfort.
Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rack tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rack has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rack is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jackson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jackson is not content to let Rack control the position.

Rack decides to stand back up. Rack steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables Rack to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Rack makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rack is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Rack is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Rack stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Rack moves into the clinch.
Rack lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.

Rack turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jackson is trying to work for a sweep but Rack has mounted him!
Rack is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brandon Rack dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Rack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.
Rack makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Rack is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?

Rack is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jackson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Rack cracks Jackson with a solid left hand.


Jackson is rocked!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rack's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Rack finish him?

Jackson working for submissions but it's allowed Rack to get to half guard.
Rack moves into full mount! Jackson won't be happy about that!
Rack looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Jackson covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Rack!
