Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Motson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Guru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Motson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Guru! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guru shoots in for a takedown but Motson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Motson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Guru tries to score a power double leg takedown but Motson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Guru somewhat. Motson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Guru. Motson instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Motson lands a body punch in the clinch. Guru drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
John Motson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ground Guru. Motson misses with a short punch on the inside. Guru tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guru blocking some punches.
Motson softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Guru has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Motson uses from the top position. Motson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Motson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guru is proving hard to escape from. Motson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Guru has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Motson is looking to defend but Guru has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Motson! Guru pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Motson taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ground Guru! A less than humble Ground Guru misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
