Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jarrod Holmes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Damien Frost! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holmes shoots in looking for a takedown but Frost manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Holmes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Frost throws a leg kick but Holmes checks it. Frost feints a jab promting Holmes to slip. Frost then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Holmes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Holmes throws a right hand that Frost ducks under and follows up with a left that Frost also avoids with ease. Holmes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frost sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holmes somewhat. Frost moves into range and clinches up with Holmes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holmes gets underhooks to prevent Frost's takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Frost - that landed with a thud.
A frustrated look appears on Frost's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarrod Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frost wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Frost's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Frost prevents a takedown attempt there.

Holmes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Frost closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Holmes jumps guard but Frost stands there with Holmes around his waist. Holmes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holmes is trying to pull guard but Frost turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien Frost dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Frost fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holmes, pushing him back against the cage. Frost makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Frost wants to break free but Holmes has control.

Frost has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holmes tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Holmes is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Holmes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Frost's guard. Holmes stopping the sweep attempt from Frost. Frost has a closed guard, preventing Holmes from standing up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Frost holds on and takes a little breather. Holmes controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost kicks Holmes off and gets to his feet. Frost swings away with a leg kick that misses. Jarrod Holmes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Frost throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holmes's waist but Holmes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frost off to one side. Frost has managed to clinch.

Holmes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Frost lands with a nice combination. Holmes backs away looking to recover. Holmes fails in his attempt to clinch. Holmes closes the distance and clinches up with Frost, looking for a takedown. Holmes pushes Frost against the cage but Frost circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Frost unleashes a big counter combination but Holmes bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarrod Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frost leaves Holmes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Holmes takes a swing at Frost's ribcage but misses. Holmes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Frost sprawls well. Frost wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet. Damien Frost showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Holmes walks away with a smile on his face. Frost gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Frost rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Holmes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Holmes changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Frost fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Frost takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

And that's the end of the fight! Damien Frost comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Frost has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
