Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samoa Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dallas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samoa Joe had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samoa Joe !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Dallas!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dallas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dallas lands in his opponent's guard.

Joe has his foot on Dallas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dallas works his way back into a safe position though.
Joe is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Joe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Joe keeping full guard, as Dallas tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dallas preventing the sweep.

Joe is working an open guard so Dallas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Dallas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Dallas has managed to clinch.
Joe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dallas is trying to pull guard but Joe has him pressed against the cage.

Joe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dallas defends it nicely.

Dallas throws a head kick that Joe semi-blocks.

Joe gets caught napping as Dallas dives in and scores a takedown. Joe manages to retain guard.
Dallas looks winded!

Dallas stands and steps away. Joe gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Dallas steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Joe .
Joe shoots in but Dallas avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dallas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dallas is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Joe 's shoulder. That is not cool.

Dallas lands a decent elbow from side control.

Dallas stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice sprawl there from Dallas as Joe shoots in.

Dallas pushes Joe up against the cage in a clinch.

Dallas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dallas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dallas content to control rather than advance.

Joe is looking to get back to full guard here but Dallas has managed to pass to side control instead.
Joe takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Dallas lands with a punch from half guard.

Dallas stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Joe shoots for a takedown but Dallas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dallas is looking for a sweep. Joe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Joe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dallas defends it easily.
Dallas forces his way into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dallas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dallas wants a takedown.
Dallas jumps guard but Joe stands there with Dallas around his waist. Dallas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Joe manages to break the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dallas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Joe .

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Dallas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dallas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Dallas is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dallas controlling the position easily from mount.
Joe wants to hold on but Dallas pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dallas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Joe can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dallas avoids the attempt from Joe to control.
Dallas connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Dallas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Joe is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Joe and Dallas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dallas is looking to take a break and control but Joe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dallas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Joe haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Joe sneaks back into half guard.
Joe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dallas is thwarting Joe 's attempts to control the position.

Dallas is working for a kimura but Joe is defending it quite comfortably.
Joe tries to roll over but Dallas keeps him under control.
Samoa Joe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joe Dallas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Dallas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dallas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
