Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yuri Magestick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Saint Faustina!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faustina tries to keep at a distance but Magestick has taken the fight into the clinch.
Magestick manages to break the clinch.
Faustina fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Faustina tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Magestick fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Faustina sprawls well initially but Magestick persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Magestick performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Faustina is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Magestick connects with a nice short shot to Faustina's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Faustina is looking for a sweep. Magestick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Magestick seems content to control.
Magestick seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Faustina for as long as he can get away with.
Magestick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Magestick working over Faustina with some ground and pound. Faustina looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Magestick content to control rather than advance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Magestick lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Magestick is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Magestick quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Magestick but it's paid off an Faustina is forced to tap! Nice work by Magestick.
