Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kevin Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Resnar!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Resnar clinches.
Resnar looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Knox tightens his grip and picks Resnar up, before dumping him to the ground. Resnar manages to land in guard.
Knox missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Knox postures up and lands a big shot to Resnar's brow.
Resnar looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Knox is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Resnar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Knox is controlling him.

Knox stands up and waves to Resnar to follow him.
Knox throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Knox has closed the distance and engaged Resnar in a clinch.
Resnar tries a knee to the head but Knox blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Resnar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Resnar tries to stand but Knox is controlling from the bottom.

Resnar is looking for a sweep.
Resnar is pushing Knox's head away, looking to escape. Knox manages to hold on to the position though.

Knox decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Knox moves into the clinch successfully.

Knox manages to break the clinch.

Knox scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Knox is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Resnar can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brock Resnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knox makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Resnar closes the distance and clinches.
Resnar pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Resnar misses with the head strike.

Knox manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Resnar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Resnar wants to stand but Knox has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Resnar throws a strike but Knox rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Knox will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Resnar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Knox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Resnar wants to stand and escape but Knox is having none of it.
Resnar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Knox thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Resnar lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Resnar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Knox is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
