The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kottari throws a body punch but Kessler moves out of range.
Kessler throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kessler feints and then cracks Kottari's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kottari down.
Kessler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kottari moves away.
Kottari is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Kottari scores with a nice right hand.
Kottari misses with a body shot.
Kessler misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kottari throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kottari has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kessler.
Kessler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kottari.
Kessler misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kottari drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kessler defends it well.
Kessler misses the shot to the body.
Kessler pushes Kottari away with a front kick.
A head kick from Kessler lands but Kottari takes it in his stride.
It looks like Rami Kottari has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kessler.
And Kottari tries to counter it with a takedown but Kessler pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kessler moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kessler throws a body punch but Kottari moves out of range.
Kessler throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kessler jabs Kottari right on the nose. Kottari blinks but takes it well.
Kessler bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jack Kessler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kessler cracks the inside of Kottari's front leg.
Kessler shoots in but no luck this time.
Kessler lands a leg kick that knocks Kottari off balance momentarily.
Kessler tries to land a leg kick but Kottari saw it coming and moves away.
Kottari takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kessler is rocked!
Kessler drops his hands momentarily. Kottari doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kessler staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kessler doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rami Kottari!
