Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keith Rees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Pawlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jan Pawlak will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Pawlak!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rees misses with a straight right.
Pawlak misses with an uppercut. Rees saw that one coming.
Rees takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A swing and a miss from Pawlak.
Pawlak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Jan Pawlak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rees misses with a lunging right hand
and Pawlak counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rees thinking.
Pawlak swats away the attempt to clinch by Rees.
Rees takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pawlak thuds a left hand into Rees's body.
Rees moves forwards but Pawlak connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pawlak looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rees falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rees takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pawlak cracks Rees with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rees moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A big left from Pawlak misses.

and Pawlak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rees doesn't manage to clinch there - Pawlak circles away.
Rees wants to clinch
and Pawlak counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rees misses with a looping right.
Pawlak lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pawlak sizes up Rees with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Pawlak keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rees throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rees tries to clinch but Pawlak is having none of it.

Pawlak throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rees stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rees displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pawlak throws out the jab.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rees wants to clinch up but Pawlak keeps it at a distance.
Pawlak let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Pawlak connects with a looping right hand.
Rees with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pawlak to score with a decent uppercut.
Pawlak lands a lovely overhand right.
Pawlak throws a hook but Rees avoids it easily.
Rees throws a jab but it's blocked by Pawlak.
Pawlak pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rees lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pawlak has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pawlak and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rees lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rees tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pawlak swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rees misses with a hook. Pawlak ducked under it nicely.

Pawlak works Rees's body with a nice hook.
Rees misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rees misses with a left hand
and Rees takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice defenses there by Pawlak.

A telegraphed right hand from Rees misses the target.
Rees takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pawlak throws a hook to the side of Rees's head but Rees sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pawlak blocks a leg kick.
Pawlak scores with a jab to the body.
Rees rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pawlak counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rees looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pawlak ducks under a wild hook from Rees.
Rees takes a swing at Pawlak's ribcage but misses.
A little jabbing left from Pawlak on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Pawlak circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rees tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pawlak manages to circle out of the way.
Pawlak misses with a straight right.
Pawlak keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pawlak punishes Rees's body with a nice straight punch.
Pawlak's corner calls for a 1-2. Pawlak obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pawlak smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut lands for Pawlak. That snapped Rees's head back.
Rees swings widly with a right hand
and Pawlak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pawlak avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pawlak is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rees had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Rees has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rees there as he acknowledges the shot.
Pawlak slips a straight right by Rees.
Rees tries to clinch but Pawlak moves out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pawlak throws a jab but it's blocked by Rees.

Rees gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rees moves out of range of the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jan Pawlak dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oh Rees is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pawlak lands a head shot.
Pawlak fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rees looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pawlak lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rees takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pawlak lands with a cross.
Pawlak lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Rees falls backwards - clearly groggy! Pawlak dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Pawlak!
