Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sydney Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duane Stockton! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stockton moves into the clinch. Stockton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jones doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jones lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stockton backwards. Stockton wants to break free but Jones has control.

It looks like Duane Stockton has been cut. A short left from Jones. Stockton tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. I was talking to Jones's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Stockton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jones scores with an uppercut up the middle. Jones tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A short left from Jones. Jones effectively controlling the action here. Jones pushes off an throws an elbow but Stockton leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Jones drops Stockton with a big knee straight up the middle! Stockton is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
That's one minute gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Jones blocks the low kick. Stockton moves into the clinch. Jones is struggling to control the position. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stockton rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage. Jones manages to break the clinch.
Stockton gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stockton misses with a hook. Jones wants to clinch up but Stockton keeps it at a distance. Stockton doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stockton clinches. A nice right hand lands inside from Jones. Jones displaying some good clinch control by pressing Stockton up against the cage. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stockton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stockton lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Stockton clinches. Stockton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Stockton blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jones tries to land a knee to the head but Stockton blocks with his arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stockton closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage. Stockton blocks an uppercut.
Stockton is looking to break free of the clinch but Jones has double underhooks. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones has managed to clinch.
Jones working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jones swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Jones working the clinch nicely. Stockton is working for position but Jones cracks him with a big knee to the head! Stockton crumples up against the cage and Jones lands two more shots before the ref can save Stockton! This one is all over!
