Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keijo Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchel Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virtanen comes to the cage accompanied by Maamme Laulu. Thompson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Smashing pumpkins - Disarm. Mitchel Thompson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Virtanen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Virtanen ducks under a wild hook from Thompson.
Virtanen appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Thompson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Virtanen feinted with a counter takedown.
Virtanen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Thompson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Some wild striking there from Thompson.
Thompson cracks Virtanen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Thompson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Virtanen attempts a counter takedown but Thompson avoids it well and moves away.
Thompson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Virtanen's hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thompson swings for the body but Virtanen moves out of range.
Virtanen tries to counter with a takedown but Thompson is quick to defend against it.

Thompson misses with a body shot.
Virtanen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Thompson sprawls and moves away.
A telegraphed right hand from Thompson misses the target.
Virtanen tries to counter with a takedown but Thompson is quick to defend against it.
Thompson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Virtanen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Thompson tries to kick Virtanen off in order to stand up. Virtanen Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Virtanen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thompson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Virtanen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Virtanen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Virtanen tries for a kimura but Thompson is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Virtanen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Thompson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Virtanen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Virtanen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thompson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Virtanen tries to move into full mount but can't pass Thompson's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Virtanen is working to tighten his grip on Thompson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thompson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Virtanen is really squeezing tight and eventually Thompson passes out! Virtanen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

After winning the bout, Keijo Virtanen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Mitchel Thompson was interviewed post fight and said 'I hope my fans enjoyed the fight as much as I did...'.
