The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cavalcanti fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shamrock sprawls well initially but Cavalcanti persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cavalcanti jumps guard but Shamrock stands there with Cavalcanti around his waist. Cavalcanti gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cavalcanti tightens his grip and picks Shamrock up, before dumping him to the ground. Shamrock manages to land in guard.

Cavalcanti shoots in but Shamrock avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cavalcanti shoots in and drives through. Shamrock sprawls well.
Shamrock drops Cavalcanti with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cavalcanti! Shamrock dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
