Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Ludacris - Move Bitch. The key to victory for Bernard Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bernard Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Ruas! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones is looking to clinch but Ruas is avoiding it.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Bernard Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ruas. Ruas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! Ruas misses with a combination
and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ruas! Ruas is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ruas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones controlling from the full mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ruas tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas wants to control but Jones is having none of it. Ruas is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones trying to control but Ruas is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones takes Ruas's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ruas's body.
Ruas trying to control but not successfully. Ruas is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Jones is staying active. Jones really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Ruas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas breaks Jones's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Ruas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones wants to stand but Ruas is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ruas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Jones throws a series of punches but Ruas avoids them all with ease. Jones looks to land a combination but Ruas avoids it well. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruas moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice shot lands for Jones. Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ruas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that. Ruas trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Ruas in side control, just content to control the action for now. Ruas looks gassed! Ruas working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bernard Jones dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ruas shoots and misses and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jones throws a right hand that Ruas ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruas also avoids with ease. Ruas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ruas counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that. Jones is looking to stand up but Ruas isn't so interested in that idea. Jones trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Ruas looking to pass the guard. Jones wants to stand and escape but Ruas is having none of it. Ruas is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ruas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ruas is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ruas wants to sweep but no luck. Ruas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ruas looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Ruas up and slammed him! Ruas can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control! Ruas wants to control but Jones postures up. Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position. Jones lands a jab-cross combination. Bernard Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones swinging wilding here.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a right and a left that Ruas avoids nicely. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Ruas tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jones looks to land a combination but Ruas avoids it well. Ruas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ruas slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Ruas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones misses with a low kick. Jones throws a leg kick but Ruas moved away. Ruas tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Ruas. Bernard Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Ruas. Ruas blocks a head kick by Jones.
Ruas throws a quick inside leg kick. Ruas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ruas fails to land the takedown. Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ruas, pushing him back against the cage. Ruas is trying to break free. Jones is trying to break free. Ruas jumps guard but Jones stands there with Ruas around his waist. Ruas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones wants to break free but Ruas has control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bernard Jones dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruas controlling from the full mount. Jones wants to hold on but Ruas pushes him away. Ruas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas controlling the pace for now. Ruas wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely. Ruas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Ruas tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jones tries to hold on but Ruas pushes him away. Jones is trying desperately to improve position. Ruas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape. Jones prevents Ruas from taking his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas thowing shots but they're missing. Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ruas.
Ruas misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ruas working for a submission but Jones is keeping him at bay. Ruas sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones is trying to stand up. Jones tries to lock up and control but Ruas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Ruas's attempts to control the action. Bernard Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones wants to control but Ruas is having none of it. Jones is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones wants to hold on but Ruas pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Marco Ruas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
