I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joon BigMan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BigMan feints and as Meier raises his hands in defense, BigMan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Meier is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! BigMan has his hands clasped together but Meier extends and breaks BigMan's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Meier.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Werner Meier!
Werner Meier spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
