Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luc Lemay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lemay comes to the cage accompanied by Ave Maria. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Perry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lemay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
What's Lemay going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Perry misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Lemay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lemay has managed to get both his arms back between Perry 's legs - danger averted.
Lemay sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Perry 's guard.
Perry tries to roll over but Lemay keeps him under control.

Lemay wants to work for an arm triangle but Perry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perry has hold of Lemay's hands but Lemay slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

We've been hearing good reports from Lemay's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Lemay is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Perry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lemay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
