Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cletus Kasady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastian Nokia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kasady comes to the cage accompanied by Carnage Theme. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cletus Kasady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bastian Nokia!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nokia moves away from the strike by Kasady.
Kasady throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nokia feints the counter takedown.
Kasady swinging wildly here.
Nokia raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Kasady wants to clinch up but Nokia keeps it at a distance.
Nokia changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Kasady lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kasady.
Cletus Kasady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Kasady. Those never looked like landing.
Nokia is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Kasady scores with a nice strike.

Kasady shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kasady misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Kasady lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Kasady trying to control the action but Nokia is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kasady taking a break here but Nokia is having none of it and regains half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nokia enables Kasady to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nokia manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kasady passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Nokia!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kasady holds on and takes a little breather.

Nokia takes one to the chin there.
Kasady swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nokia.

Kasady fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nokia, pushing him back against the cage.

Kasady is trying to trip Nokia. He has hold of a leg but Nokia is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kasady persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Kasady throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nokia works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kasady looking to sit in guard and control but Nokia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kasady wants to sweep but no luck.
Kasady is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nokia can do to turn this around?

Nokia pushes down on Kasady's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kasady is looking for a sweep. Nokia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kasady is controlling Nokia's trapped leg to prevent Nokia from advancing to side control.
Cletus Kasady overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kasady is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nokia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nokia's back!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nokia is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kasady gets his way!

Kasady tries to get the hooks in deep but Nokia pushed the leg off.
Kasady punches the canvas rather than the man.
Kasady really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Nokia.

Kasady is looking for a rear naked choke here but Nokia reverses the position brilliantly into Kasady's guard!
Kasady wants to sweep here but Nokia controlling him for the moment.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kasady is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nokia is controlling him.
Kasady has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Nokia has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cletus Kasady dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Kasady shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kasady showed some decent athleticism there.
Kasady moves nicely into side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Kasady.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kasady tries to advance position but instead Nokia slips a leg back in to half guard.
Kasady is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nokia!

Kasady breaks from Nokia's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kasady throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Nokia because Kasady loaded up on that one.

Kasady swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Nokia is now in Kasady's guard. A big mistake from Kasady there, giving up the dominant position!

Nokia prevents Kasady from getting back to his feet.

Nokia is fighting to break Kasady's control of his arms but Kasady is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kasady looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bastian Nokia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cletus Kasady is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cletus Kasady showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kasady has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cletus Kasady decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
