Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shamrock might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Biggie Smalls-Hypnotize . On his way into the ring it seems that Nick Shamrock has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Shamrock seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Shamrock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Little Mac! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock takes a shot right to the bread basket. Mac lets loose with a powerful body kick. Shamrock will feel that in the morning. Mac scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Shamrock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mac pinned against the cage. Mac gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice takedown defense from Mac. No joy for Shamrock on that attempt. Mac throws a sloppy head kick and Shamrock moves out of range easily. Shamrock closes the distance and clinches up with Mac, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes Mac against the ropes but Mac circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Shamrock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shamrock throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mac's waist but Mac gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shamrock off to one side. Mac keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shamrock fails with the takedown. Shamrock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mac connects with a body shot. Mac lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shamrock backs up against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamrock misses with a takedown attempt - Mac sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Shamrock is breathing heavily. Mac tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shamrock looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mac fails in his attempt to clinch. Mac misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shamrock.

Mac lands with a shot to the body. Shamrock closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Little Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shamrock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mac wants to pass the guard but Shamrock is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mac throwing strikes from guard but Shamrock blocks nicely. Mac slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Shamrock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mac is one step ahead there. Shamrock keeping moving, preventing Mac from controlling successfully. Mac won't allow Shamrock to sweep him here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mac tries to clinch but Shamrock is having none of it. Mac forces Shamrock back against the ropes and clinches. Mac breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock has his takedown stuffed and Mac cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mac tries a head kick but it misses.
Mac instigates a clinch. Mac with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Mac lands with a light punch inside. Shamrock dodges an elbow strike from Mac.
Shamrock tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mac postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Mac won't allow Shamrock to sweep him here. Mac passes Shamrock's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Shamrock is looking for a sweep. Mac is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Shamrock manages to get to full guard.
Shamrock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mac is one step ahead there. Mac wants to stand but Shamrock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shamrock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shamrock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mac gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Shamrock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mac tries to get to full guard but Shamrock has control of the leg. Mac makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mac. Mac wants to sweep here but Shamrock controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Little Mac dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Shamrock with a poor takedown and Mac counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Shamrock is lucky that one didn't land flush. Shamrock misses with a takedown and Mac counters with a nice body kick.

Mac closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Mac breaks the clinch.
Mac moves in looking to clinch but Shamrock pushes him off. Mac tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mac tries a head kick but it misses.

Shamrock is fighting the takedown attempt but Mac gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Shamrock wants to sweep here but Mac controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mac wants to control from the top but Shamrock keeps moving. Mac must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shamrock wants to sweep but no luck. Mac is looking to work some ground and pound but Shamrock has wrist control. Mac tries to free his leg and advance position but Shamrock is retaining full guard. Mac slips nicely into half guard. Shamrock is looking for a sweep. Mac is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Shamrock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Shamrock with a lazy takedown attempt and Mac counters with an outside leg kick.
Mac thuds his right hand into Shamrock's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Mac scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Mac working the ground and pound. Mac is looking to take a break and control but Shamrock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shamrock is trying to get back to half guard. Shamrock is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mac off and has taken his back!

Shamrock is trying to stick to Mac's back but Mac is turning into Shamrock. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Shamrock's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mac. Shamrock is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Little Mac showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Shamrock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mac scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Shamrock is in trouble now - Mac has advanced to mount! Shamrock is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Shamrock is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shamrock is bucking up trying to escape but Mac cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mac cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Shamrock is trying desperately to improve position. Mac looking for a guillotine from mount but Shamrock is having none of it. Shamrock is trying desperately to improve position. Shamrock regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mac prevents Shamrock from improving his position. Shamrock is not content to let Mac control the position. Mac thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shamrock's head. Mac prevents Shamrock from improving his position. Shamrock moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Shamrock is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mac rolls with it to try and escape but Shamrock cranks on the arm and Mac is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
