Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Domenic Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Konig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Domenic Calderon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Konig! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Konig shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Konig is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Konig wants to stand up but Calderon has a hold of him and won't allow it. Konig perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Konig is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Calderon has managed to free his arm - good work. Konig is trying to work for a kimura but Calderon is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calderon makes his way to full guard, as Konig worked for a kimura.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Calderon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Konig trying to control the position from guard on top but Calderon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Konig must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Konig postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
It looks like Domenic Calderon has been cut. Konig content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Konig wants to control from the top but Calderon keeps moving. Konig keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Calderon's head. Calderon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Konig is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Calderon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Calderon has escaped and now he's on top! Calderon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Konig is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calderon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Konig has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Calderon has managed to get both his arms back between Konig's legs - danger averted. Konig has his foot on Calderon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Calderon works his way back into a safe position though. Konig controls Calderon momentarily but Calderon frees himself. Konig avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Calderon won't allow Konig to sweep him here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Konig looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Calderon has picked Konig up and slammed him! Konig can't keep hold of the triangle and Calderon manages to pass to side control! Konig looking for a sweep but Calderon has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Konig that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Konig tries to get back to half guard but can't. Calderon lands a big elbow. Konig is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Konig is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Domenic Calderon will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Domenic Calderon's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Calderon fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Konig closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Calderon did well to prevent Konig getting side control. Konig is working for a kimura but Calderon is defending it quite comfortably.

Konig gets to his feet - back to striking we go! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Calderon misses with a takedown attempt - Konig sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Konig darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Konig has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Konig is stalling here. Calderon is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Konig seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Calderon has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Konig is trying to control Calderon's posture but Calderon avoids it. Calderon lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Konig is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Konig sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Konig manages to get to full guard.
Konig bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Calderon's guard. Konig trying to control the position from guard on top but Calderon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Konig with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Calderon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Konig's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calderon stands up over Konig, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Calderon postures up in Konig's guard and throws a big left but Konig blocks it. Calderon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Konig working a defensive guard here.
Konig throws his legs up looking for a submission but Calderon uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Konig tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Calderon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Konig looks to move to half guard but instead Calderon has passed into mount! Damn! Calderon with good strikes from the mount here! Konig slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Konig trying to control but Calderon postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Hans Konig will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Domenic Calderon's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Calderon appears to be looking for a big counter. Konig throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Calderon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Konig is in Calderon's guard. Konig is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Konig has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Calderon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Calderon throws a strike but Konig rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Calderon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Konig looking to sit in guard and control but Calderon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Konig looking for a sweep. Not yet Konig, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calderon is working Konig over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Calderon lands a couple of decent looking shots. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Konig is on top in guard.

Konig takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Konig pulls Calderon in close to prevent any damage.

Calderon throws an elbow that misses. Konig uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Calderon's guard. Nice move by Konig!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Domenic Calderon. I think Calderon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
