Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thatcher Halverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that David Sharpe was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Halverson misses the target.
Sharpe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Halverson looking to score a takedown here. Sharpe is defending well but Halverson drives through and ends up in Sharpe's guard.
Halverson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sharpe keeping moving, preventing Halverson from controlling successfully.
Halverson has gone for a leg lock! Sharpe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Halverson's guard.
Halverson trying to keep a closed guard but Sharpe is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sharpe wants to stand but Halverson is controlling his posture from full guard.
Halverson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sharpe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Halverson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sharpe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Halverson pulls down on the head and he's put Sharpe to sleep! This one is all over!
