Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Crackers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Crackers will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Crackers!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Crackers coming out on top.

Crackers tries to sprawl but Franklin drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crackers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Franklin trying to control from half guard but Crackers is working away.

Franklin is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Crackers to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Franklin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crackers uses from the top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Franklin will probably get the nod.

Frank Franklin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Franklin has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Crackers is on him like a limpet, forcing Franklin back against the cage.

Crackers tries a quick counter leg kick but Franklin is wise to it.
Franklin swings for the body but Crackers moves out of range.
Franklin takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Franklin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Crackers is breathing heavily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Franklin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crackers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Crackers is not content to let Franklin control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Crackers is fighting off a takedown attempt but Franklin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Crackers to the mat. Crackers regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Frank Franklin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Crackers is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Franklin has his hands clasped together but Crackers extends and breaks Franklin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Crackers.
