The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Nogueira gets the takedown into side control.
Snouka is trying to improve his position.
Nogueira wants to control for a moment but Snouka uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Snouka wants to land a leg kick but Nogueira is out of range.
Nogueira fails with the takedown.

Snouka manages to break the clinch.
Nogueira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snouka's waist but Snouka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nogueira off to one side.
Snouka lands a right hook to the body.
Snouka throws the left hand but Nogueira avoids the punch easily.

Snouka gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Snouka manages to pull guard.
Snouka wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Snouka isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nogueira stacks Snouka on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nogueira!

Snouka tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Snouka rushes Nogueira and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Snouka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Snouka throws a right and a left that Nogueira avoids nicely.
Nogueira throws a one two combo.
Snouka lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Snouka closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nogueira can't do much from the bottom here.
Snouka is staying tight to Nogueira's torso, preventing him from escaping.
