Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Suroki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cyrus Kendall!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendall explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
A head kick misses from Kendall.
Suroki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kendall throws a leg kick but Suroki moved away.
Suroki tries to bum rush Kendall with a series of wild strikes but Kendall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kendall lands with a kick to the temple. Suroki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like David Suroki has been cut.
David Suroki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suroki throws an overhand right that lands on Kendall's shoulder, as Kendall tries to avoid the shot.
Kendall staying out of range there.
Kendall cracks Suroki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Suroki throws a poor cross that misses
and Kendall counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd cheers as Kendall lands an impressive looking overhand right. Suroki doesn't seem phased though.

Kendall throws out a powerful jab.
Kendall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Suroki.
Kendall throws a right hand that Suroki ducks under and follows up with a left that Suroki also avoids with ease.
A little feinted left hand from Suroki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kendall moves away from the strike by Suroki.
We've been informed that Kendall has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Suroki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kendall.

Kendall tries to counter with a clinch but Suroki shakes him off and moves away.

Kendall uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suroki.

Suroki is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kendall's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Suroki thuds his right hand into Kendall's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kendall throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Suroki's head.
Kendall tries a low kick but Suroki avoids it.
Kendall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Suroki throws out the jab.

A looping hook to the body misses from Suroki. Kendall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kendall now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kendall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Suroki throws a jab but it's blocked by Kendall.
Kendall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Suroki.

Kendall is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Suroki had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Suroki throws a looping overhand right but Kendall ducks down to avoid it.
Kendall is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Suroki with a body shot.

Suroki thuds his right hand into Kendall's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kendall! But no joy.

Donk. Kendall catches Suroki right on the button with a cross.
Kendall lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kendall throws a right and a left that Suroki avoids nicely.
Kendall's jab looks to have found its range, popping Suroki under the eye.
Sloppy strikes from Suroki. Those never looked like landing.
Kendall has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Suroki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kendall manages to avoid it.
Suroki connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kendall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Suroki.
Nice straight punches there by Kendall. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kendall.
Kendall throws out a powerful jab.
Suroki slips a jab from Kendall.
Kendall displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Kendall lands a left and a right that send Suroki crashing to the mat, dazed. Kendall thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Suroki is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kendall connects with an inside leg kick.
Suroki misses with a straight left.

Kendall cracks Suroki with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Suroki looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kendall finish him?
Oh Suroki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Suroki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kendall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Suroki's sensitive parts.
Suroki seems to have got his legs back now.
Kendall cracks Suroki with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Suroki falls to his knees and Kendall doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cyrus Kendall!
Cyrus Kendall seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
