Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolph Kruger Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kareem Riggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dolph Kruger Jr! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruger Jr darts in and clinches Riggs up against the cage. Riggs really is a fat lump. Riggs is looking to take this one to the mat. Riggs tries for a takedown. No joy.
Riggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kruger Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Riggs sprawls well initially but Kruger Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kruger Jr passes the guard and advances to mount! Kruger Jr controlling his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruger Jr unloads with some shots from mount but Riggs bucks and avoids them well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Riggs suckers Kruger Jr into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Riggs is now in Kruger Jr's guard!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruger Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kruger Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riggs gets to his feet. Kruger Jr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Riggs tries to close the distance and clinch but Kruger Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Despite the aggression on Kruger Jr's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Kruger Jr tries to clinch there but Riggs circles away.
Riggs tries to clinch but Kruger Jr is having none of it. Kruger Jr throws a fast counter high kick but Riggs manages to duck under it in time. Riggs is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sloppy strikes from Kruger Jr. Those never looked like landing. Riggs is looking to counter the offense by Kruger Jr and move into the clinch. Kruger Jr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kruger Jr wants to pass to mount but Riggs is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruger Jr is taking a breather. Riggs says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kruger Jr is stalling here. Riggs is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kruger Jr seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Riggs has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Riggs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kruger Jr is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riggs decides to stand back up. Riggs steps back and let's Kruger Jr get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A shot to the body from Kruger Jr misses and Riggs counters by moving into the clinch. Riggs wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kareem Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riggs tries to pull guard but Kruger Jr holds him up against the cage and eventually Riggs drops back down to his feet.

Dolph Kruger Jr dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kruger Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Riggs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Riggs tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kruger Jr manages to circle out of the way. Kruger Jr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kruger Jr takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Riggs trying to hold on to Kruger Jr's head to control him but Kruger Jr postures up.
Kruger Jr is looking to take a break and control but Riggs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Riggs is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruger Jr stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Riggs tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kruger Jr takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A shot in the inside from Kruger Jr. Riggs has Kruger Jr pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kruger Jr manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Riggs is trying to pull guard but Kruger Jr has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kareem Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kruger Jr jumps guard and drags Riggs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Riggs wants to stand but Kruger Jr is controlling his posture from full guard. Kruger Jr trying to keep a closed guard but Riggs is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruger Jr looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Kruger Jr has his foot on Riggs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riggs works his way back into a safe position though. Riggs chips away with some ground and pound. Kruger Jr trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kruger Jr gets a double leg takedown into Riggs's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruger Jr is stalling in the full guard. Riggs doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Dolph Kruger Jr has got the better of the ground game so far. Kruger Jr is looking to advance position but Riggs has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Riggs is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Kruger Jr is forced to tap! Great finish!
