Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Modus Ponens!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ponens's head backwards.
Lee jabs Ponens to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lee lunges at Ponens with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ponens's hand.


It looks like Modus Ponens has been cut.
Jab from Lee.
Lee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ponens fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kevin Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee tries to bum rush Ponens with a series of wild strikes but Ponens uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ponens was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
And Ponens tries to counter it with a takedown but Lee pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ponens looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ponens misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming.

Ponens uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.

Ponens darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage.

Lee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lee misses with a hook. Ponens ducked under it nicely.

Ponens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin Lee will probably get the nod.

Oooooh!!! Lee has knocked Ponens down with a huge combo! Lee steps away and waves a wobbly Ponens back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

A very excited looking Kevin Lee made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
