Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Almighty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Bwarnt!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bwarnt has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bwarnt there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice uppercut there from Almighty.
Almighty fails to land the takedown.
Bwarnt is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Almighty.
Bwarnt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Almighty pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A countering left hand to the body from Bwarnt misses.
Almighty lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Bwarnt doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Bwarnt counters with a single leg into guard. Almighty didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bwarnt won't allow Almighty to get back to his feet.
Almighty is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bwarnt trying to control the position from guard on top but Almighty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bwarnt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Almighty uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bwarnt has time to react.

and Bwarnt counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Almighty is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Almighty wants to sweep but no luck.
Bwarnt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Almighty keeping moving, preventing Bwarnt from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

and Bwarnt moves into the clinch.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Almighty has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bwarnt is on him like a limpet, forcing Almighty back against the cage.
Almighty goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bwarnt keeps control of Almighty as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Almighty tries a body shot but Bwarnt blocks it.
Bwarnt lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Almighty tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bwarnt's elbow.
Almighty struggles to land a body shot inside as Bwarnt controls his hands.
A nice right hand lands inside from Almighty.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Almighty doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Almighty misses with a punch on the inside.
Almighty can't find room to land a body shot as Bwarnt controls the action.

Bwarnt breaks from the clinch.
Rufus Almighty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Almighty misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rufus Almighty dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Almighty misses with a series of wild punches.
Almighty is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bwarnt can do to turn this around?

Bwarnt wants to counter with a clinch but Almighty pushes him away.

and Bwarnt counters with a nice double leg into side control. Almighty won't be happy with that.
Check out the look on Bwarnt's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Almighty avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bwarnt.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bwarnt working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Bwarnt advances to mount.
Bwarnt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Almighty. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Almighty is wriggling around trying to escape.

Almighty is rocked!
Bwarnt cracks Almighty with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Bwarnt!
