Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Unai Arana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yo Hwan Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arana comes to the cage accompanied by NoMeansNo - Beat on the Brat. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Unai Arana! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yo Hwan Lim! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arana misses with a hook. Lim ducked under it nicely. Lim shoots in and drives through. Arana sprawls well. Lim manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Arana on his heels. He'll look to pass Arana's guard now, I'm sure. Arana seems keen to control Lim's posture. Arana's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Lim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arana swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lim advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Arana is not content to let Lim control the position. Arana struggling a bit here. Lim thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lim wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Arana, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Arana tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lim is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Arana has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lim trying to control the action but Arana is working from the bottom. Arana can't do much from the bottom here. Lim is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Arana knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lim tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Arana is looking to reverse the position. Arana can't do much from the bottom here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lim takes a swing at Arana's ribcage but misses. Lim walks into a left hand. Lim walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lim tries for a takedown but Arana sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Arana scores with a nice head shot. Arana leaves Lim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Unai Arana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yo Hwan Lim. Arana throws a nice inside leg kick. Lim tries a head kick but it misses.
Lim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lim somewhat. Lim fails to land the takedown. Arana was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lim shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Arana defends it nicely. Good leg kick by Arana there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Unai Arana will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Lim throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arana's waist but Arana gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lim off to one side. Arana does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lim now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Lim takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Arana throws a hook but Lim avoids it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lim! But no joy. Arana has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Arana keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. It looked like Arana wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Lim on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Arana throws an overhand right that lands on Lim's shoulder, as Lim tries to avoid the shot. Arana throws out a loose jab but Lim uses good head movement to avoid it. Yo Hwan Lim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lim is defended easily by Arana. Unai Arana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yo Hwan Lim. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arana misses with a straight left. Lim shoots in looking for a takedown. Arana tries to sprawl out of it but Lim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arana manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lim stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Arana. Lim looks for a takedown but Arana sprawls well. Unai Arana is winning the standup battle so far. Arana swings away with a leg kick that misses. Arana tried to score with a low kick but Lim checks it. Unai Arana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lim walks into a straight right hand from Arana. Arana lands a nice shot that snaps Lim's head back.
Lim goes for a double leg but Arana avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Arana continues to drive forward. Arana throwing a counter right hand but Lim manages to avoid it. Lim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arana pinned against the cage. Arana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Arana jabbing away but nothing is landing. It seemed like Lim was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Arana tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lim swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Arana lunges at Lim with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lim's hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arana sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Arana half committed to a counter leg kick. Arana misses the shot to the body. Lim looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Arana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lim dives in and grabs Arana's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arana pushes down on Lim's head and hops out. A shot to the liver by Arana. Beautiful body shot. Arana looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Arana throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Lim is breathing heavily. Arana fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Nice sprawl there from Arana as Lim shoots in. Arana throws a quick inside leg kick. Arana thumps Lim with a low kick. Arana lands with a slapping head kick. Arana ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Arana feints and then cracks Lim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lim down. Lim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lim somewhat.

Despite the aggression on Lim's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Arana uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lim drops his hands momentarily and Arana takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lim takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Arana is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lim can do to turn this around? A decent looking cross lands there for Lim. Lim takes a kick to the side of the head.
Lim is rocked! Arana drops Lim with a huge uppercut! Lim drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Arana is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Unai Arana! After the fight, Unai Arana was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
