Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Timothy Poggle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Serafin Cuevas!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ron Honeybunn and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuevas lands a glancing blow to the side of Poggle's head.

Poggle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cuevas misses the body punch

Cuevas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Poggle's hands.

Poggle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cuevas is looking to escape.

Poggle stops Cuevas from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Poggle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cuevas sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Poggle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
