Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Vir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and D Z Canon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vir comes to the cage accompanied by Let me Oh. Bryce Vir has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryce Vir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, D Z Canon!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ron Honeybunn and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Canon misses.
Vir with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Canon to score with a decent uppercut.
Vir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vir fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vir shoots in for a takedown but Canon shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Vir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A right-left combo lands from Canon.
Canon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vir.
Canon throws a shot to the body.
Vir shoots in and drives through. Canon sprawls well.
Canon throws a series of punches but Vir avoids them all with ease.
Vir really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Canon misses with a wild combination.
Canon avoids a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Canon lands a slapping body shot.
Canon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vir tries to clinch but Canon moves out of range.
Canon jabs Vir to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Canon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vir looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Canon throws a combination that misses

and Vir counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vir.
Canon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Canon is trying to break the clinch but Vir has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Canon's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Vir tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Vir is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Vir escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
D Z Canon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A shot to the liver by Canon. Beautiful body shot.
Canon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Canon takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Canon.


Vir is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Canon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vir was well out of range. Poor timing from Canon.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Canon lands a nice shot to the body.
Canon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vir manages to avoid it.
Vir drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Vir has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Canon finds it's way round the side to connect with Vir's head.
Oh Vir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A lazy left from Canon finds it's target.
Canon scores with a jab. Vir acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Canon lands a nice hook to Vir's body. Vir takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Canon swivels and escapes.
Canon is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Vir rather than just go for the knockout.
Vir is breathing heavily.
Canon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vir doesn't seem bothered though.
Canon fails to land with a series of punches.
Canon feints a jab promting Vir to slip. Canon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vir slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Canon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Canon wants it to stay on the feet.
Canon throws an overhand right that drops Vir like a sack of potatoes! Canon dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). D Z Canon!
D Z Canon seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Bryce Vir stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well I dont know what happend but maybe the next one.'.
