Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mo Stash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Kane Grey!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stash is fending him off so far but Grey persists. Nope, Stash circles away and we're back to standing.
Grey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Grey gets a takedown into half guard.
Stash is positioning himself well to prevent Grey advancing to mount.
Stash is looking for a sweep. Grey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stash gets back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stash had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grey defends it easily.
Grey wants to stand but Stash is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Grey stopping the sweep attempt from Stash.
Grey wants to pass the guard but Stash is keeping the position.
Stash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Grey wants to get up but he can't break Stash's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stash has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Stash throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Grey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stash has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grey has managed to get both his arms back between Stash's legs - danger averted.
Grey is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stash has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Grey is looking to defend but Stash has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Grey! Stash pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Grey taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mo Stash!
As Mo Stash got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I AM THE BOSS AND I'LL FUCK YOU ALL!'.
