Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by What You Know. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michal Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bubba Walker!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
Hunt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Walker walks away with a smile on his face. Hunt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hunt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Walker counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Walker trying to control but Hunt is working from the bottom.

Hunt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Walker wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
Hunt is trying to keep Walker in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker cracks Hunt with a solid left hand.


It looks like Michal Hunt has been cut.
Walker landing with the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Walker looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Hunt has his foot on Walker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walker works his way back into a safe position though.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunt is retaining full guard.
Walker wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.

Hunt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hunt is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Walker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hunt is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hunt has escaped and now he's on top!

Walker keeping full guard, as Hunt tries to pass.

Walker uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Hunt tries to sprawl but Walker drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker controlling the pace.

Walker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Walker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Walker uses his free foot to push down on Hunt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hunt.

Walker with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hunt regains half guard.
Hunt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hunt tries to get to full guard but Walker has control of the leg.
Hunt trying to control here.

Walker is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hunt defends it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bubba Walker dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Michal Hunt's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hunt looks to clinch

and Walker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hunt is not content to let Walker control the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hunt manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Walker looking to pass the guard.

Walker drops back looking for a leg! Hunt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hunt manages to kick Walker off! Walker jumps back into Hunt's guard.
Walker wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully.
Walker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hunt keeping full guard, as Walker tries to pass.
Walker prevents Hunt from getting back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
We've been informed that Walker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hunt throws a sloppy head kick

and Walker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hunt!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walker works to advance to full mount. Hunt defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Walker looking to finish Hunt with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hunt!

Walker swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bubba Walker!
A relieved looking Bubba Walker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
