Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshuah Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Custer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Custer has chosen Crooked - Evil Nine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Custer! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Custer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Robertson. Robertson is breathing heavily. Custer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robertson pinned against the cage. Robertson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Robertson misses with a double jab.
Custer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robertson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robertson can't do much from the bottom here. Custer scores with a couple of short elbows. Robertson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Custer working the ground and pound from side control. Robertson stops Custer from passing to mount. Custer looks up at the clock and then as Robertson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Custer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Custer lands strikes from half guard.

Robertson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Custer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Robertson is working hard here to advance position. Robertson is trying to maintain the position but Custer is very close to passing his half guard. Robertson is looking to escape. Robertson is looking to control Custer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Robertson avoid being mounted? The fighters are battling for position here. Robertson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Custer prevents Robertson from getting back to his feet. Custer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Custer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robertson swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robertson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Custer gets a takedown into half guard. Custer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Robertson is looking to escape. Custer is nestled in close to Robertson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Robertson wants to control but Custer is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Custer lands a nice short elbow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Robertson misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Custer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Custer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Robertson sprawls well initially but Custer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Custer connects with a nice short shot to Robertson's temple. Robertson missing with punches from the bottom.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Custer defends it well. Robertson tries to stand and escape but Custer is controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Robertson looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Robertson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Custer is trying to control but Robertson is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

Robertson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Custer lands a big elbow. A nice elbow there by Custer. Robertson tries to lock up and control but Custer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Robertson regains half guard. Custer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Robertson is just riding it out for now. Custer eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are battling for position here. Robertson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight! Joshuah Robertson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Custer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
