PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshuah Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Custer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Custer has chosen Crooked - Evil Nine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Custer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Robertson.
Robertson is breathing heavily.
Custer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robertson pinned against the cage. Robertson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Robertson misses with a double jab.

Custer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robertson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Custer looks up at the clock and then as Robertson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Custer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Custer connects with a nice short shot to Robertson's temple.

Custer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Robertson is just riding it out for now. Custer eventually gives up the hold.

Well Custer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
