Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davy Jones Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones Junior's choice of entrance music: Denial by Sevendust. Roberto Kim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones Junior swings for the body but Kim moves out of range.

Kim is pulling down on Jones Junior's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones Junior, at least for the moment. Kim lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim tries to control but Jones Junior wriggling away. Jones Junior felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Kim landing strikes from the mount. Kim wants to control the pace but Jones Junior is squirming around nicely. Jones Junior tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kim with a couple of short strikes. Roberto Kim overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones Junior can't escape the position.

Jones Junior lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively. Kim takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kim lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jones Junior will feel that in the morning. Jones Junior throws a body punch but Kim moves out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Kim. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Jones Junior moves out of range easily. A shot to the liver by Kim. Beautiful body shot. Kim connects with a solid leg kick. Jones Junior looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kim closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones Junior's guard. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones Junior is keeping the position for now. Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones Junior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones Junior wants to sweep but no luck.

Kim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones Junior can't keep his opponent in guard - Kim advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kim wants to control but Jones Junior is keeping him busy. Jones Junior makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jones Junior. Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones Junior swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim working some strikes from top position. Kim lands a couple of digs. Jones Junior has his foot on Kim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kim works his way back into a safe position though. Kim works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kim prevents Jones Junior from improving his position. Davy Jones Junior has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones Junior is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kim scores with a couple of nice shots. Kim takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kim is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones Junior is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Roberto Kim showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kim, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
