PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Onkel Bergmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Te Huna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bergmann comes to the cage accompanied by Never Give Up. Te Huna has chosen Chevelle-Jars as his entrance music. Te Huna has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. On his way into the cage it seems that Onkel Bergmann has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Onkel Bergmann seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Onkel Bergmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Te Huna!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergmann throws a hook but Te Huna blocks it.

Bergmann closes the distance and clinches up with Te Huna, looking for a takedown. Bergmann pushes Te Huna against the cage but Te Huna circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bergmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Te Huna tries to avoid it but Bergmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Te Huna to the ground. Te Huna escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Onkel Bergmann.
I think Bergmann has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
