Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Derouin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dexter Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derouin avoids a kick to the body.
Derouin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Morgan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Morgan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Derouin is trying to escape the mount.
Morgan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Derouin blocking the ground and pound.
Morgan takes Derouin's back.
Morgan patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Morgan tries to get the hooks in deep but Derouin pushed the leg off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Morgan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Derouin has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Derouin is really stuck here.
Derouin turns into Morgan and is now in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morgan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Derouin pushing down on Morgan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Derouin working over Morgan with some ground and pound. Morgan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Derouin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Derouin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morgan's head.

Morgan moves into full guard.
Derouin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Derouin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Morgan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Morgan is working for a submission of some sort.
Morgan is keen to just control but Derouin is a slippery customer.

Derouin keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Derouin gets full guard.
Derouin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Derouin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Morgan passes into side control.
Derouin is breathing heavily.
Morgan wants to control but Derouin is keeping him busy.
Derouin tries to buck Morgan off but Morgan is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Morgan advances nicely into full mount.
Morgan content just to control the position here.
Morgan looking to control but Derouin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Morgan looking to ground and pound but Derouin is blocking nicely.
Derouin has left one of his arms exposed and Morgan doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Derouin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
