Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eli Armis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sly Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armis comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Armis! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
48 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sly Randolph! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Armis attempts a counter takedown but Randolph avoids it well and moves away. Randolph tries to clinch up but Armis circles away and keeps his distance. Randolph tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Randolph stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Randolph wants it to stay on the feet. Randolph throws a low kick but Armis moves out of range easily. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Armis loads up on a big right hand but Randolph slips the punch. Armis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Armis showed some decent athleticism there. Armis is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Randolph manages to regain half guard. Good work. Armis stalling. Armis wants to work for an arm triangle but Randolph is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Armis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Armis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Randolph because Armis loaded up on that one. Armis looking for a guillotine from mount but Randolph is having none of it.

Eli Armis dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Armis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Randolph cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Randolph throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Armis. A nice leg kick lands there from Randolph. Armis slips a jab from Randolph. Armis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Armis drives through with a takedown into Randolph's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Randolph keeping moving, preventing Armis from controlling successfully. We've been hearing that Armis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Randolph tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sly Randolph is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Randolph cracks Armis with a good jab. Randolph misses with a looping left. Nice takedown defense from Randolph. No joy for Armis on that attempt. Armis throws a hook but Randolph blocks it. Randolph connects with a high kick.

A clash of legs there as Armis blocks the low kick. Randolph tries to clinch up but Armis circles away and keeps his distance. Armis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Randolph's guard. Armis tries to free his leg and advance position but Randolph is retaining full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Armis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Randolph has Armis pulled in close to control his posture. Randolph avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armis advances to half guard. Armis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Randolph can do to turn this around? Armis wants to pass to mount but Randolph is defending the position. Randolph manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Randolph being controlled here, momentarily. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sly Randolph is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Randolph fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Armis. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Armis darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Randolph misses with a hook. Armis ducked under it nicely. Armis is looking to counter punch. Randolph swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sly Randolph showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Randolph holds on and takes a little breather. Randolph is looking to stand up but Armis isn't so interested in that idea. Randolph pushes down on Armis's head and hops out. As Armis backs off Randolph throws a huge counter combo but Armis manages to avoid it all. Randolph scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Randolph misses with a jab, cross combination.

Armis with a poor takedown and Randolph counters with a leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Armis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Armis misses with a takedown attempt - Randolph sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Armis closes the distance and clinches up with Randolph, looking for a takedown. Armis pushes Randolph against the cage but Randolph circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A nice side step and Randolph releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Randolph works Armis's body with a nice hook. Randolph instigates a clinch. Armis blocks an uppercut.

Sly Randolph really dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Armis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Randolph circles away. Randolph scores with a head kick. Armis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Randolph connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Armis's hands.
Armis is rocked! Randolph closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Armis out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
