PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between rusty shackleford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scorpion Kiing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). shackleford comes into the arena with escape from imbred mountain blaring out of the sound system. Kiing is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Living on a Prayer. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
shackleford lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kiing misses with a double jab.
shackleford swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

shackleford bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

shackleford tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no shackleford has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kiing struggling a bit here.
Kiing tries to escape but shackleford is in control.
Kiing takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
shackleford is looking to take a break and control but Kiing is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kiing wants to get back to his feet but shackleford drags him back down.

Kiing is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

shackleford is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kiing is trying to escape and shackleford transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kiing is forced to tap! Nice work there by shackleford! Very nice indeed!
